I surprised Tim for our Anniversary with tickets to the Independence Bowl in Shreveport to watch MIZZOU play football. It was freezing, raining, and windy.......needless to say, we left at half-time. But.....the hotel pool was fun!!! Go Tigers!!! Welcome to the SEC!

These two boys are the most precious things in the whole world. I think it really hit me tonight. When I saw Kaid walk up to his aunt Toto, and burst into tears, cried with her, and comforted her, I couldn't do anything but start to sob. To see both of them, able to comfort Rachel and William during such a hard time, makes me smile. Rachel and William- you have no idea how much you mean to my boys. You're the best aunt and uncle ever. Our love is with you right now and forever.

The Great Serve

This Sunday, instead of having a service, we had "The Great Serve". It was amazing! We met up at Church in our swanky new t-shirts, and divided and conquered around town. We did various clean-up and yard work for people all around PG and surrounding areas. Our motto at PGCC is Love God, Love others, Serve others. Vance wanted us to get out and really serve our community with a servant's heart for others. Lynda, our preacher's wife said there were around 400-500 people that helped with The Great Serve. Pretty cool!

Our family went to Bighouse Youth Outreach and cleaned and did some weeding. Here's Tim and Kaid working in the flower beds.

Brighton turned 6 months old yesterday! Happy half Birthday! He also learned a new trick yesterday. How fun??? Now, all I'll be doing is picking things up a hundred times a day. But, I gotta say, it makes me laugh, especially because he's so serious.

Also, pray for my Nanny. She's has an aortic anuerism, and she's having major surgery on it on Thursday. I know she's gonna do great, but any extra thoughts and prayers would be great!

The day we left . They took us out to Bread Co.! It is always so sad to leave, but especially now....seeing Charis (Grandma) just lights up our faces, and makes us feel so special that we know her. She is truly an amazing person. If I could pick two grandmas on the whole planet, I would pick my mom (Nana) and her.

Happy Birthday, Mom!!! Her birthday cake said, "55 and stayin' alive!"Amen to that. It was funny and literal at the same time. I hope she had a great b-day, seeing her two favorite boys!

Kaid lost one of his two front teeth at Aunt Sue's house on the 4th of July, which was Grandma's b-day! What a great memory...

He's hanging out by the hottub here. Tim and I left to go to another bbq, but Kaid definitely wanted to stay and hang out with his older cousins, Hannah, Becca, Mary Cate, Kelly, and Johnny. I missed pics of them, but we love you guys!

I love this picture!!! Kaid opened all of his presents, and got this awesome Cardinals chair from his two uncles, Tom and Terry. The boys look so cute in their 4th of July gear!

Kaid got to celebrate his b-day..........again at the Nibberich's bbq with a Transformers ice cream cake. Awesome!!! He had the best time. Somehow this kid can wrap grown men around his finger. All the twenty somethings were letting him light fireworks, and taking him to the park. They were all saying how cool this little guy is!!! Thanks T, Jim, and Dan! Kaid had a blast.

We went to Webster Groves to watch the fireworks. Brighton just sat there in awe. They didn't scare him a bit. We had the best and busiest weekend!

Here is Brighton's new best friend. This is Tim's good friend Adam's baby, Kannon Fanger. He is such a doll! They enjoyed eachother's company. Kannon is almost 9 months, and as you can see.......smaller than Brighton.

Grandma and Grandpa got Kaid so many awesome b-day gifts! They also got Brighton a little something, so he wouldn't feel left out. :) Isn't he cool???

Kaid's 7th Birthday party!!!

Kaid had his birthday party today at our Aunt Kathy's pool. He had so much fun with his friends and family! I can't believe that he is already 7 years old. What a big guy! Instead of cake, all the kids got a giant cookie with icing. Messy, but fun. I wish our St. Louis family could've been there, but we'll be up to see them on Thursday, and the party will really begin. We have 4 bbq's planned over the 3 day weekend. Crazy!

Trip to KC

I took Tim to Kansas City for Father's Day to watch the Cardinals play and whoop up on the Royals. We had a lot of fun. We ate some bbq, went to the game, did some shopping, ate some more, then went back to the hotel. We missed Kaid so much. We're gonna take him by himself to KC in August for a day and night of FUN! It was nice to get away. Now, we're off to St. Louis next weekend with the boys for the 4th of July. F-U-N!

Today me and Brighton spent the day at the pool for my birthday with my friend, Crystal and her little guy, Coleton. Thankfully Brighton loves the water, whether it's warm or cold. We had a great time, except for the terrible sunburn on my back. I spent the rest of the day going to Kaid's baseball game, which they won second place in their tournament....Go Tigers!!! Then, I went over to my sis's and just hung out and painted a little. A special thanks to mom for taking me and Rach shopping. I don't do it very often, so THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!

Kaid officially has another brother, Trigg Edward Peck. This is the second brother in 5months. I'm sure he's wondering, "So, how many more?" All joking aside, Trigg is precious, and Kaid is so glad to be a big brother. I think it's neat that we all get along so well, and Kaid can have his two brothers together. It was special to see that at the hospital. Mother and baby are great, and I'm sure Kaid is going to be the best big brother to Brighton and Trigg. Kaid, we love you so much. You'll always hold a special place in everyone's heart. We know that you'll be the most protective and best big brother in the whole world! Congratulations!

This is a picture of my mom and dad at their store with the boys. We go see them at least twice a day everyday, yet we never remember to ever take pictures with them. I felt bad because there were no pics of them on the blog. I feel better now.

Yesterday, we decided to get out of the house after church and go on a hike at Devil's Den. We usually sit around and watch tv all afternoon, so it was nice to get out. Tim and I are out of shape, though. So, with a 17lb baby and his 10lb backpack, we really got a workout. Kaid was a trooper. We went on a mile and a half trail, saw a snake, went up steep hills, and he loved it all. Brighton just enjoyed the scenery from his dad's chest.

After dinner at Nanny's, we took the boys to swim at my aunt Kathy's with their cousins. This was Brighton's first swim, and he loved it. He really liked watching the five other boys that were swimming around and splashing. I'm sure we'll be out there a million times this summer.

Charis is officially on her way home! They left this morning around 11am. She's just been taking it easy, resting, and playing with the boys. I really can't believe that she is already going back home to St. Louis and is almost fully recovered. We will miss having them here so much, but we're so glad she's better. I don't know if I've ever seen a husband more in love with his wife than Tom. They are really special people. Now I know why Tim is the way he is....and his brothers. She raised them right. It was great having them here, and you could just see Charis shining through all of them. All three of them are so kindhearted, sweet, caring, and so willing to help. Throughout all of this, Charis has absolutely loved reading all the comments, so feel free to write more! We were so sad to see her go this morning, but we know that all of you in St. Louis will spoil her just as much as we have and the hospital has.

I want to thank all of my Arkansas family and friends for taking care of all the Doyle's as if they were their own family. A special thanks to MOM for keeping the boys so that I could be by Tim's side, and feeding us, and all the other numerous things she always does for us. My sister and William have been awesome, Crystal, Amber, Mindy, Nanny, Kathy, Misty, Bonita, Charity, our Church family we love you guys. Thanks for feeding 5 boys and me for a week!

I guess that's all............Charis, enjoy being home, get some rest, and get ready for company!

Charis got to go back early, around 6:30, to have her defibrillator put in. She's out and doing fine. She's resting tonight, and the doctor said she might actually get to go home tomorrow! She has requested one thing from all of her friends..................Below is a picture of our baby, Brighton. We entered him in the STLtoday baby contest. This is the picture we used. Isn't he cute???? He takes after Charis. So, if you all could go online to STLmomsanddads.com and give him a vote, it would sure "Brighton" her day. He's on page 17. Hee Hee. They'll probably boot us off because we're not from St. Louis, but Tim thought he'd give it a shot because there are Cardinal baseball tickets at stake. But seriously, she's doing great thanks to everyone of you for thinking about her and praying for her. She has so much to live for, we knew it wasn't her time.

Yesterday, a doctor found ulcer lesions on Charis' colon. It scared her to death, with him telling her the possibilities: Colon cancer, Crohns Disease, Colitis, etc. She was very upset yesterday............but now she's smiling! The doctor came in this afternoon and said none of the biopsies were cancerous, and everything came back negative. They will eventually go away on their own. Whew! As if she needed anything else to worry about. Tim just called and informed that her defibrillator is scheduled to be put in at 9:00 tonight. If everything goes well, she'll be coming home very soon! I know that prayer had a big part to do with Charis' healing and amazing recovery. Thanks to you all. I never knew that tons of people from St. Louis would be checking out our blog, but it sure did come in handy. I know she can't wait to get home to see all of you! Thanks again!!!!!!!!!!

Charis had her Heart Cath earlier tonight, and it came back that there was no blockage!!!! She will be getting a defibrillator put in tomorrow afternoon. She did have her colon examined today, because she was having a few problems, and they sent a few biopsies off to be tested. She will get the results of those back tomorrow afternoon. So, if everything checks out okay, the Doctor said she might be able to leave the hospital on Thursday. Continue to keep her in your prayers, and let's all hope for good results tomorrow! Go Charis!!!

Please continue to pray for Charis. She is having a Heart Cath done tonight, which will decide what step is next. I'm getting cards in the mail, which I know that she will love. Her friends are the most amazing friends in the world. I'll have Tom take those up to her tomorrow. We've been taking Kaid and Brighton up to see her, so that lifts her spirits. Out of the ICU!

Charis is one big miracle. She's doing so well, that they put her in regular room today. That meant that Brighton could go visit her. Kaid was able to see her yesterday, but kids under 2 aren't allowed in the ICU. Kaid was quiet when he went in, and just stared around the room at all the gizmos and gadgets, but loved seeing his grandma. I forgot the camera, so I didn't get a picture. She felt so strong today that Tom took her to get a smoothie at the hospital coffee shop and took her outside for a little while. She could even hold Brighton and feed him his bottle. It was a wonderful day. Me, Tim, and Brighton, and Tim's dad just sat in her room talking all afternoon. She's the same ol' Charis, and we couldn't be happier. I don't even know how to explain or understand what happened on Sunday compared to today. There is such a drastic difference. It's almost like it's two different people. Losing her was a real possibility, and look at her now........she's amazing. Charis, you're my second mom and I love you so much....... we all do, and we couldn't live without you. You're family is amazing and you're friends are amazing. Your husband and sons have more love for you than could ever be explained.

Charis Update!

Tim's mom Charis has done a 180 from before. She has come off of the ventilator, and she was talking to us yesterday. What happened yesterday was something that we thought wouldn't happen for awhile. This morning, they actually sat her in a chair, and she was eating a little breakfast. Breathing is still tough for her, but she's doing great. She's really scared, but Tom is right there by her side. She was cracking jokes yesterday and definitely making us laugh. She's a fighter, and she has all her boys down here fighting for her too. I told her that she needs to get better and get out of that hospital to help me wrangle all these boys. At mine and Tim's house, its me, Tim, Tom, Terry, Tom (Tim's dad), Kaid, and Brighton. I wouldn't have it any other way. She married a wonderful man, and raised excellent sons, so it's really a breeze, we keep eachother encouraged and entertained. It's kinda fun taking care of everyone and really just getting closer as a family. People down here in Prairie Grove have been amazing. We have food coming out of our ears, but with 5 adults and Kaid I'm sure we'll get our fill. Continue to pray for Charis' recovery; I'm sure she'll be out of the hospital and back to her sassy self in no time. Amen!

Please, please, please, anyone that sees this. We need heavy prayer. My mother in Law is very, very sick, and we need prayer. She is the best mother to my husband, and the very best Grandma to my boys. She loved them all more than life itself. We need to lift her up right now and put her in God's hands for some major healing. She is loved by more people than I could ever count, and is very, very special to so many.

We made our third trip up to St. Louis in two months! We're exhausted, but we had a great time. Me, Tim's mom Charis, and the two boys went to the zoo while the boys played golf on Friday. We had wedding that night, hence the family photo above. We were so busy, these are the only pictures I got.

Kaid did not want to visit the Easter bunny, so Brighton went solo. While there, my camera went missing and was never found. very sad.....but thankfully my mom had her camera also. Kaid suddenly found the Easter bunny to be very cool when he handed him a giant lollipop.
